Authorities: Mount Olive man arrested on child pornography charges

Authorities say 60-year-old Jose Lousa was arrested after the Department of Homeland Security traced a child exploitation group on the file-sharing website BitTorrent back to his home.

A Mount Olive man accused of maintaining a child abuse network was arrested last Thursday, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities say 60-year-old Jose Lousa was arrested after the Department of Homeland Security traced a child exploitation group on the file-sharing website BitTorrent back to his home.
Authorities say 1,000 items of child sexual abuse material was available to download on the website.
Lousa was released at a detention hearing Wednesday and will wait for trial. He is not permitted to have internet access or unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18.
