New Jersey Transit says that a man’s body was found hanging from a bridge near the Passaic train station early Tuesday morning.
Officials say that Passaic police notified NJ Transit police that the man’s body was found hanging from the Passaic Avenue Bridge near the station around 6:40 a.m. This is the bridge that carries the Main Line trains over Passaic Avenue.
The victim was identified as 50-year-old Jeff Goldberg, of Passaic. No other details were released.
Service on the Main Line was delayed for about 30 minutes due to the incident.
