Authorities say the man killed in a crash Thursday on I-80 was hit by a truck after running away from a traffic stop.
The crash happened yesterday around 2:20 a.m. on westbound I-80 in Montville, just east of exit 47A.
According to authorities, Kevin Cruz, 25, was killed when he was hit by a truck after running away from a traffic stop. The crash caused lane closures and extensive traffic delays.
The attorney general is investigating the fatal accident. It is unknown why police pulled Cruz over in the first place.
