Authorities: Man charged in connection to death of 2-year-old found with drugs in her system

Authorities have announced a 27-year-old man from Cherry Hill has been charged in the July 23 death of a 2-year-old girl.

Authorities have announced a 27-year-old man from Cherry Hill has been charged in the July 23 death of a 2-year-old girl.
According to authorities, Walter H. Clark, is charged with one count of first-degree aggravated manslaughter, one count of second-degree aggravated assault and two counts of second-degree endangering.
Emergency medical personnel and Cherry Hill police responded to a residence on the 300 block of Evergreen Avenue for a report a 2-year-old who was not breathing.
Officers located the child who was unconscious. The child was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 9:06 p.m.
An investigation determined there was a positive result for controlled dangerous substances, specifically cocaine and fentanyl, in the child's system. Drug paraphernalia was also found in the home near where the child was found unresponsive.
Clark is currently in custody at the Camden County Jail.
