Authorities say a man is facing charges following an early morning weekend crash involving a car and a pickup truck in Old Bridge that killed two people, including a teenager.
According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, Tristan Rodriguez, 23, of Old Bridge, has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and fourth-degree assault by auto in the crash.
Prosecutors allege Tristan was intoxicated when his car crashed into the back of the pickup Saturday shortly before 4 a.m. near the JCP&L building on Englishtown Road.
Krystal Diaz, 29, of Old Bridge, was killed along with 17-year-old Sarah Aziz.
Rodriguez and the 20-year-old truck driver were also injured.
Diaz was driving home from her job at a diner.
It's unclear whether Rodriguez has an attorney who could respond to the charges; a listed number for him couldn't be found Sunday.
GoFundMe accounts have been set up for each victim.
