A man from Pennsylvania has been arrested after allegedly bringing a hatchet and pellet gun over the weekend to a beach in Cape May County, according to police.

A man from Pennsylvania has been arrested after allegedly bringing a hatchet and pellet gun over the weekend to a beach in Cape May County, according to police.
Police were called to Higbee Beach Saturday around 2:24 p.m., for a report of a man with a handgun and hatchet in his waistband walking around the area.
Authorities say the 38-year-old man was arrested at the beach entrance. The hatchet and pellet gun were located in the parking lot. He was charged with unlawful possession of weapons and released on summons pending a future court date.
Higbee Beach is a small stretch of beach that rests along the Delaware Bay.
