Authorities in Union County say that an Elizabeth man killed a woman on Thanksgiving Day.

Elizabeth police say that Victoria Myers, 30, was found dead early Thanksgiving morning inside an apartment complex on Mravlag Manor.

Authorities identified 30-year-old Gerard Manning as the suspect involved in the killing. They say Manning was arrested on Friday and charged with the crime.

Manning was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
