Tractor trailer bursts into flames on I 95, slowing Thursday night traffic

Authorities in Somerset County have identified the person killed in a crash on Route 27 in Franklin Township on Thursday morning.

Kristen Drayton, 31, died around 9:30 a.m. after crashing into a tree near Reler Lane.

Police say the factors that contributed to the crash are being investigated by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team and the Franklin Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.

The crash shut down a part of Route 27 for four hours.
