Authorities file charges against driver in deadly 2-car crash in Jersey City

Ziyang Wang, 23, is charged with three counts of reckless manslaughter, three counts of death by auto and one count of assault by auto.

Authorities in Hudson County announced the arrest of 23-year-old Ziyang Wang in connection with a deadly two-vehicle crash on Paterson Plank Road in Jersey City early Monday morning.
Authorities say Wang was driving a BMW more than 100 mph in the seconds leading up to the collision.
Two men and a woman died in the crash. Wang, and two women passengers were injured. One of them remains in critical condition.
Among those killed was 26-year-old Dylan Weidenfeld. Authorities say he was driving a Kia sedan when Wang crashed into him head on.
Wang, of Jersey City, is charged with three counts of reckless manslaughter, three counts of death by auto and one count of assault by auto.
Now, on this deadly section of Paterson Plank Road, south of Congress Street, lane delineators and speed signs have been positioned as a way of preventing future tragedies.
Wang was arrested at Jersey City Medical Center, where he will remain in custody until medically cleared.
