Officials have announced some new safety measures at a problematic intersection in Jersey City that has seen several deadly crashes.
The most recent crash on Paterson Plank Road claimed the lives of three people and injured three others this week.
Officials say there are no plans for guideposts to separate the north and soundbound lanes. Traffic enforcement will also be increased for speeding and other unsafe driving habits. There will also be better signage.
Officials say they are also considering using permanent lane barriers to prevent head-on collisions.
