The death of a man found shot and wounded inside a crashed car has been ruled a homicide.
Middlesex County prosecutors say Perth Amboy police responded to the single-vehicle wreck around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. They soon discovered the driver, Vidal Carrasquillo-Vasquez, was inside the car and had been shot several times.
The 41-year-old Perth Amboy man was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead there a short time later.
It’s not clear where the shooting occurred or what spurred the gunfire.
Anyone who may have information about the shooting is urged to call Perth Amboy Detective Frank Cristiano at 732-324-3837 or Prosecutor Detective Mark Morris at 732-745-3927.
