Officials say they've made an arrest in a 21-year-old Camden County rape and attempted murder case.

They say Sanyika Adams has been charged with raping and attempting to murder a woman in Somerdale in 1999.

Authorities found him using DNA collected from the victim, but there wasn't a potential match until 2019.

When detectives found Adams in South Carolina, they collected more DNA.

In November, the lab confirmed his DNA matched the victim at the time of the rape.
