Authorities: 3 men arrested in connection to shooting near Rutgers University

Authorities say a woman was struck by a stray bullet within her private residence. A second victim, a male, was sent to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with injuries related to the shooting.

Three men have been arrested and charged in connection to a shooting near Rutgers University that left two people injured, including a student.
Police say Christian Farmer 22, Ryan Nasi 22 and Walter Rodriguez-Cardenas, 20 are in police custody. The fourth suspect remains at large.
Police say the incident happened at 2:03 a.m. Friday following a disturbance on Easton Avenue and Hamilton Street. Police received reports of several shots fired in the area, just two blocks away from student housing.

The male victim has been released from the hospital. The female student is still receiving treatment at RWJ.
Police determined that the female student was shot from a vehicle.
According to a news release from Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Vincent Sabo of the New Brunswick Police Department, Rodriguez-Cardenas, 20, was arrested Saturday without incident in Plainfield where he resides and was charged with armed riot and hindering the apprehension of another for driving the suspected shooter away from the scene.
Farmer, 22, of New Brunswick, is the suspected shooter. He was charged with weapons offenses, attempted murder and aggravated assault. Nasi, 22, of Hillsborough, was charged with armed riot. They were arrested together without incident Saturday in Somerville.
