Law enforcement in Jersey City are on the hunt for the person or persons responsible for the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man Friday night.

Detectives say it happened just before 10 p.m. near Pearsall and Garfield avenues.

Officers found the victim identified as Resheed Wallace with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday evening.
