Authorities say a 13-year-old has been charged
in connection with a shooting in an Atlantic City apartment building.
Police responded Tuesday around 1 p.m. to
a report of a shooting and a ShotSpotter alert in the area of the 1700 block of
Atlantic Avenue.
According to authorities, two men,
ages 30 and 34, were shot. They were treated
for non-life-threatening
injuries.
The police were able to
contact the young teen by phone and negotiate a peaceful surrender. Three individuals were ultimately taken into police custody.
The investigation led to a search of the apartment and the retrieval of
the handgun believed to have been used in the shooting.
The juvenile was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession
