Authorities say a 13-year-old has been charged in connection with a shooting in an Atlantic City apartment building.

Authorities say a 13-year-old has been charged in connection with a shooting in an Atlantic City apartment building.
Police responded Tuesday around 1 p.m. to a report of a shooting and a ShotSpotter alert in the area of the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue.
According to authorities, two men, ages 30 and 34, were shot. They were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The police were able to contact the young teen by phone and negotiate a peaceful surrender. Three individuals were ultimately taken into police custody.
The investigation led to a search of the apartment and the retrieval of the handgun believed to have been used in the shooting.
The juvenile was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and related offenses.
He was remanded to Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center. The two individuals in the apartment were released without charges.
