Two people were killed in a fire that broke out across three buildings early Friday morning in Paterson, according to the fire chief.
Fire officials say the fire broke out on North Seventh Street around 2:30 a.m.
The two deceased individuals were identified as women in their 60s.
The fire chief says that two residents were hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
Seventeen people have also been displaced.
