Joe Turner’s "Come and Gone" is a Broadway revival of August Wilson’s play, part of his series of 10 works that chronicle the African American experience across the 20th century.

It’s set in 1911, following a group of people passing through a Pittsburgh boarding house as they search for identity, direction, and a place to belong.

The story touches on themes of identity, spiritual renewal, and the lasting impact of slavery across generations.

It’s now being presented at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.
