A 54-year-old Atlantic City man was charged Tuesday for a boating death that occurred in August.
Jeffrey M. Jastrzembski was indicted for first-degree manslaughter by an Atlantic City grand jury.
The boating crash occurred on the Intercoastal Waterway near the Albany Avenue Bridge at 5:14 p.m. on Aug. 12.
Jastrzembski allegedly accelerated his boat at a high speed in the direction of the docks and made an aggressive turn causing the boat’s propeller to strike and kill 70-year-old Norma Michaels, of Atlantic City.
New Jersey State Police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Fatal Crash Investigation Unit determined Jastrzembski had a BAC between 0.19% and 0.23%.
