At least one person was killed after a van carrying 14 passengers overturned on the northbound Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County Friday.
New Jersey State Police say that the van was traveling on the northbound express lanes near Exit 117 in Holmdel when the van flipped over.
The accident blocked two of the left lanes. Police were diverting traffic onto the local lanes for a time.
State police say that some of the other passengers in the van were taken to Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, but did not release their conditions.
Police say that they believe that the van was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
