A Monmouth County hair salon owner says she is determined to keep her new business open during the pandemic.
Hair Haven owner Tashianna Gayle says that she is taking a stand against COVID-19 for her Asbury Park shop.
“We are a full-service salon…We’re a small boutique, so, you have one-on-one service with us. We’re all yours when you walk in,” she says.
Gayle says that the shop specializes in hair extensions and hair coloring. The COVID-19 pandemic struck just one month after Hair Haven opened, causing it to shut down.
Gayle says that she is happy to be reopened
"Never give up, just keep pushing, be resilient and when you keep falling down, just get back up,” she says.
She says that she is also serious about coronavirus safety protocols.
“Always wear a mask. We put up hand sanitizer all over. As soon as they walk in the door we have them fill out a COVID form,” says Gayle.
Everything is sanitized between clients. Hair Haven is by appointment only.
