Some local artists who captured feelings of sorrow in their work are displaying their talents at a special Sept. 11 exhibit in Freehold.
Avram Shapiro, of Howell, said his collage is a way to express the sorrow he feels every time he?s run the New York Marathon since Sept. 11.
?As you?re crossing the Verrazano Bridge with this pack of 30,000 runners, and you look to your left and the Twin Towers aren?t there any more,? Avram said.
Each artist from New Jersey displays their photos in the ?20 Artists Remember? exhibit at Brookdale Community College?s Art Gallery in Freehold. The exhibit runs through September 27 at the Brookdale Western Monmouth Branch Campus.
