An arrest has been made in a fatal Toms River hit-and-run.
Mark Rothlein, 51, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of Jeffrey Michel.
The crash happened on March 6 on Route 37 near Fischer Boulevard in Toms River.
Investigators say they traced a piece of Rothlein's car from the scene of the crash to his home. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
This most recent hit-and-run is one of a handful of recent instances where pedestrians have been struck by that interaction.
Fences have been installed along Route 37 to keep people from crossing over, but police say some have had holes cut into them.
