There was extra security at New Brunswick High School on Monday after administrators were made aware of an alleged threat against the school.
School officials said that they became aware of the threat on Monday morning and alerted the police.
They say that the message was sent because of a previous incident, which the police are aware of.
The school remained open for the day.
The incident follows several other threats made against New Jersey schools last week. And about two weeks after a deadly school shooting at Oxford High School in Oxford, Michigan.
