The 16-month investigation into the alleged plot to attack Fort Dix started at an electronics store in Mount Laurel.
A Circuit City spokesperson confirms an employee there tipped off police in January 2006 about a video showing men firing guns and calling for Jihad. Authorities describe the tape as a sort of terrorist training video. That tape eventually led the FBI to arrest six men in an alleged plot to kill soldiers in the Garden State.
The store and law enforcement will not release the employee?s name. Customers are calling the clerk a hero. They say he deserves more than just a thank you for alerting police about the tape.
Meanwhile, Fort Dix says it is working closely with both the FBI and local law enforcement in the investigation.
