An Allamuchy firefighter was honored on Monday for saving a person’s life.
Firefighter Matthew Malejko performed life-saving CPR on a Panther Valley resident. After being discharged from the hospital, that resident went home and saved his mother’s life by performing the Heimlich maneuver.
Malejko was honored at the Hometown Heroes Awards, which pays tribute to local first responders, veterans, students, teachers and community leaders.
