A Florida woman had a scare at Newark Liberty Airport when her cat escaped its carrier at the baggage drop.

Airport officials say the cat, named Coco, was tracked down after alarms went off when the owner tried to chase it.

"She opened the top of the little carrier and reached in and by then the cat had took off," the woman said. "I went to run after it and security stopped me because a few alarms were going off. They said don't worry, we'll get her. But she did have the leash so thank God."

The woman told News 12 it felt like a Christmas miracle that Coco was found.
