Affidavit: Baby who died in hot car was supposed to be dropped off at sitter’s

Authorities have released new information regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of a baby left inside a vehicle in Lakewood.

According to an affidavit, the father of the 4-month-old, Moshe Ehrlich, forgot to drop the baby off at his babysitter’s and instead went to work.

The baby was left alone in the car for at least two hours, according to the document.

The affidavit states that while temperatures outside were in the 60s, temperatures inside the van reached the mid-90s.

Ehrlich was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
