2h agoA 9-year-old boy from Egg Harbor Township had the opportunity to play with the Philadelphia Flyers as part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Zachary Wertz signed a two-day contract with the team as part of his wish. Wertz is recovering from a liver transplant. The Flyers teamed with Make-A-Wish New Jersey to grant the boy a chance to play with his favorite NHL team.
Wertz had the chance to practice with the team at their facility in Voorhees. He says that skating with the players was the best part.
