Suspect charged in violent beating of MTA bus driver in Yonkers

Police say a 71-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Sheepshead Bay.

They say it happened around 6 p.m. near Ocean Avenue and Avenue S.

Officials say they saw the 71-year-old man with trauma to his head.

He was taken to NYU Langone in critical condition.

Police say the car did not stay on the scene.
