Firefighters from across New Jersey spent Sunday honoring those lost 14 years ago in the Sept. 11 attacks.
More than 200 firefighters along with their families and friends participated in the sixth annual Stair Climb Challenge.
They climbed up and down four flights of stairs at the parking garage in the Raritan Medical Center, and did 20 laps in full firefighter gear, which weighs up to 65 pounds.
The parking garage stairwell was filled with photos of each firefighter lost on that day.
The climb represented the 80 stories many firefighters made on Sept. 11 before the towers collapsed.
The challenge raises money to help pay for the medical bills of first responders.
