A 68-year-old woman was wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in Paterson, authorities said.
Police responded around 12:40 p.m. to the area of Market and Main streets on a report of a shooting, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor and Paterson police. The woman, a Paterson resident, was found with a nonfatal gunshot wound and taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators identified a potential crime scene, and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests were announced, and additional details were not released.
