Officials say four people were injured when a fire broke out in Elizabeth Saturday.
The fire started on the 200 block of Broad Street around 11:30 p.m.
It took firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control. The flames were so intense that departments from at least two neighboring towns had to assist, News 12 is told.
The Elizabeth Fire Department says two adults and two children sustained minor injuries.
Fire officials say the first floor of the building housed a business, while the second was used for housing.
A tenant of the building says that the building's fire alarms did not go off.
Tenants are working on getting temporary housing with the Red Cross due to the smoke and water damage.
