Three people have been injured following a bus accident on Main Street in Orange The accident happened at around 3 p.m. when a Coach USA bus collided with a Nissan Altima, sending the bus out of control.

Three people have been injured following a bus accident on Main Street in Orange
The accident happened at around 3 p.m. when a Coach USA bus collided with a Nissan Altima, sending the bus out of control. The bus then struck a 34-year-old pedestrian who was standing on the sidewalk, before finally crashing into a Bank of America. This whole incident unfolded on the 400-block of Main Street.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is on scene investigating, along with local Orange police.
According to the prosecutor, the pedestrian was taken to University Hospital in Newark and is listed in critical condition.
The 77-year-old bus driver and the 39-year-old driver of the Altima were also taken to University Hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life threatening. 
No passengers were on the bus at the time of the accident.
Sean Hughes, director of corporate affairs for Coach USA, says in a statement to News 12 New Jersey, "Safety is our number one priority and ONE Bus is fully cooperating with the authorities with their investigation into the incident."
Building officials are working to determine the structural integrity of the bank.
