Parts of New Jersey have been inundated after three days of heavy rainfall.
Powerful thunderstorms brought some flooding to areas of Somerset County Thursday night. Parts of Prospect Street in Dunellen were closed due to flooding conditions. Some parts of the roadway saw water that was about two feet deep.
Drivers are warned to avoid driving through flooded streets because it can be difficult to determine how deep the water is. Driving though can be dangerous or cause serious damage to vehicles.
The rain also caused some flash flooding in towns like Bound Brook. Parts of Mountain Avenue in the town were closed due to flooding for a time.
The rain was expected to clear by Friday morning, with Friday expected to see mostly sunny and warmer weather.
