Paterson man dies after being shot in chest

A Shirley man accused of driving while under the influence was arrested Friday night in Hampton Bays.

Southampton Town police say they spotted 33-year-old Diego P Albarracin-Solano traveling along Good Ground Road at a high rate of speed around 10:17 p.m.

Officers pulled him over and noticed he showed signs of being intoxicated. He was then taken into custody and brought to police headquarters for processing.

He is charged with DWI and several traffic violations, according to authorities.

He was held to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court for arraignment on Saturday morning.
