New Jersey's black bear hunt is back this week, but hunters will face stricter rules.

Hunters must have permits for the zone where they're hunting and can hold up to two permits. However, they're only allowed to take one bear per hunting segment.

Bow hunting runs through Thursday. Hunters can switch to rifles on Friday and Saturday.

The state also prohibits hunters from killing black bears weighing less than 75 pounds or bears accompanied by cubs. Another rule bars hunters from carrying a loaded weapon within 300 feet of a baited area.

The hunt ends Saturday.
