A 65-year-old Pine Hill woman has been charged with driving under the influence and death by auto following a fatal weekend collision involving an e-bike.
Lindenwold police officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Laurel Road around 10:24 p.m. Saturday following reports of a severe motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a motor vehicle had struck a person riding an e-bike. The e-bike operator, identified as 46-year-old Erica Beeks of Lindenwold, was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 10:42 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Deborah Carey, 65, of Pine Hill, was arrested at the scene by responding officers.
Carey was charged with second-degree death by auto and issued multiple traffic summonses, including driving under the influence.
