It's time for Spring Cleaning.
If you have junk to get rid of, a local company will take it, resell it and help kids with cancer.
Junkluggers on Selleck Street in Stamford was started 20 years ago by two brothers in Trumbull.
It has grown into one of the biggest junk haulers in America with about 80 national franchises.
Their huge warehouse is full of stuff that's been picked up.
They call it the Remix Market.
But you may not call it junk.
We are talking about some items that may have originally cost thousands of dollars but are being resold at a reduced price.
And a portion of the sales go to Mikey's Way to help fight childhood cancer.
"We're seeing a lot of people just open up their garage and we're as surprised as they are when they open their garage. So, it could be lawn mowers, we had a motorcycle come in last week. You just never know," said Lon Epstein with Junkluggers.
Junkluggers also donates some items they pick up to local non-profits.
Their mission is keeping items out of local landfills.
The Remix market is open to the public seven days a week.
