Temperatures will drop quickly across the Hudson Valley, falling into the mid-30s and even below freezing in some areas. A frost advisory is in effect, meaning sensitive plants could be damaged if left uncovered. Bring plants inside or cover them before bed.

Monday:
It will stay chilly, with temperatures only reaching the upper 40s to low 50s. There could be a brief passing shower, but most of the day will just feel cool and breezy.

Monday night:
This will be the coldest stretch. Temperatures are expected to fall into the 20s and low 30s, and a freeze warning will be in place. This kind of cold can damage or kill early-season plants, so take precautions again Monday evening.

Midweek into next weekend:
Temperatures begin to rebound on Tuesday, with a more noticeable warm-up by Wednesday and Thursday when temperatures reach the 60s. Cooler air may return toward Friday and next weekend along with a slight chance of rain, though the details are still uncertain as of Sunday evening.
