A West Windsor man was arrested after Plainsboro police said he was seen peering into apartment windows while exposing himself and then tried to flee officers.

Police said officers were sent to the Quail Ridge Apartments at 12:34 a.m. March 23 after a caller reported a suspicious man looking into windows near Building 30.

When officers arrived, they saw a man matching the description looking into a first-floor apartment window while exposing himself, according to police.

When confronted, the suspect, identified as Benjamin Ferrer of West Windsor, resisted officers’ attempts to detain him and tried to escape, police said. He was arrested after a brief struggle.

Ferrer was charged with lewdness, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, obstruction and general nuisance. He was released pending a future court date.
