Hartford Healthcare opens new cardiac health center in Norwalk
Officials say the center is the first facility in the state to offer connected heart care outside of the emergency room.

Hartford Healthcare celebrated the grand opening of its new Health Center on Knight Street in Norwalk on Friday.
Officials say the center is the first facility in the state to offer connected heart care outside of the emergency room.
"A lot of medicine, unfortunately, kind of moves too slow and we're stuck in this algorithm were patients have to go and sit in an ER and get evaluated," said Dr. David Lorenz, interventional cardiologist at Hartford Healthcare. "This is going to take the evaluation of patient chest discomfort. Take it into a very comfortable, professional, much more appropriately and orderly-directed evaluation that gets patients basically fully evaluated in within a few hours".
The center also offers other specialists and primary care physicians.
