Fires broke out in two Bergen County locations over the weekend.

A family in Teaneck is without a home after a fire tore through their Linden Avenue house around on 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. Flames were seen shooting from the windows as the fire spread through the first and second floors and into the attic.

The Red Cross says a neighbor spotted the fire, called 911, and tried to put it out with an extinguisher but was unsuccessful.

Three people inside the home got out safely. Relatives and neighbors are helping those affected.

In River Edge, a separate fire broke out Saturday morning inside an apartment on Rutgers Place.

Photos show a kitchen burned and covered in ash.

Fire officials say the flames were quickly put out and one person was evaluated at the scene.
