An Irvington man has been convicted of murder and faces a potential life sentence.

Essex County prosecutors say Joseph Ocasio entered a store in 2022 and started shooting at people, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old man and leaving another man paralyzed.

Ocasio is scheduled to be sentenced on July 7.
