Management at Edison Nissan says what they really need is customer confidence and a strong economy.
“I’m taking it one day at a time,” said general sales manager Glenn Swenson.
Swenson says sales ticked up in the last month because people were “tariff-scared.”

Models like the Kicks and Sentra are manufactured out of Mexico. Swenson said there was talk in the industry that prices could rise between $6,000-$8,000.
There’s still uncertainty about what could come next.
“We’re doing a pre-tariff sale," Swenson said. "When the tariffs come, they’re going to come for not just Nissan, they’re coming for all manufacturers. It is what it is.”
The tariff pause could also mean good news when taking your car to the shop.
The owner of Timmy’s Auto Repair in Roselle told News 12 that the price of foreign-made parts was already skyrocketing.
