Paramus police say that a driver who mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake on her SUV crashed into two storefronts.

Police say the incident happened just before 1 p.m. Monday near 556 Route 17 North. They say the 64-year-old driver of a Mercedes SUV crashed through the front windows of F45 Training and the UPS Store.

Officials say the woman was alert and conscious after the crash but reported feeling dizzy afterward. She was not hurt.

Video from inside the UPS store shows an employee standing near the window, while the SUV pulls into the parking spot, but then keeps going, crashing into the storefront. The video seems to show the employee jumping out of the way and then running to the back of the store.

News 12 spoke to him following the crash.

"Most of the time, there's customers there but thankfully, we didn't have anybody in the store at the time. You see it all the time. You never think it would happen to you and then today was the day," said UPS employee Zach Tammous.

No one was seriously injured as a result of the incident.

The Paramus Building Department was on the scene to make sure the buildings were safe. Officials say both stores were temporarily closed due to the damage.
