According to NJ Transit, a bus on the No. 70 line was traveling near Summit Avenue and Broad Street around 6 a.m. when the incident occurred. The bus was struck by a van at the intersection.

According to a NJ Transit statement, "The operator of the bus and one of the nine customers on board reported injuries, along with two occupants inside the van and all were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
