For the first time in over 10 years, the PATH fare is increasing. Riders now must pay 25-cents more, bringing a one-way fare to $3. Multi-trip fares will also be adjusted.

The increase is because of an action put forward in 2019 by PATH officials, an automatic inflation-based fare adjustment was triggered and went into effect on Sunday.

Port Authority NY and NJ:

Port Authority says this increase will compensate for a $3 billion loss from the pandemic.
