GREAT NEWS! Ruffles was adopted by someone who saw him on News 12!

Ruffles was brought to the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter under sad circumstances, and now he's looking for a fresh start.

Workers at the shelter say Ruffles was adopted in April of 2023. He was in his new home for a short time before returning to Mt. Pleasant.

"Unfortunately, his adopter had a medical emergency and required long-termcare. The adopter surrendered Ruffles back to the shelter so that we could find Ruffles a new home," says shelter operations and behavior manager Michelle Grillo.

At 3 years old, Ruffles is believed to be a kelpie/blue heeler mix. He's described by volunteers as friendly with medium energy. He loves to explore and meet new people.
