Prosecutor: Woman killed in head-on collision with alleged drunk driver in Brick

A woman was killed in a wrong-way head-on collision with a drunk driver in Brick Township, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say the crash happened around 5 a.m. Thursday on Route 70 near the Lowe’s home improvement store. They say a Toyota RAV4 collided with a Volkswagen Beetle.
The prosecutor says the driver of the RAV4 was driving the wrong way on Route 70 and crashed into the Beetle. The female driver of the Beetle was pronounced dead on the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.
Officials say the driver of the RAV4 was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition. He was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. His name was also not released.
