One man was killed and another injured after their scooter was struck by a car in Paterson Tuesday night.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Madison and 9th avenues. Police say two 18-year-olds were riding the scooter when they were hit. One rider died at the scene, while the other sustained injuries. The extent of those injuries is not currently known.
It is unclear whether the driver of the car remained at the scene. Paterson police are investigating the crash and have not released further details.
